Test first, then ship: why more and more customers test their product with us

Before new customers order their first box from us, their product now often spends some time in our hall in Hartberg. The number of companies that want to test before they decide is growing, and we think that is the right approach.

What a data sheet cannot tell you

A data sheet describes what packaging is designed for. It knows nothing about your product, your cooling elements, your transit time or the season you ship in. Yet these are exactly the factors that decide whether a shipment arrives the way it left.

In practice, this gap often leads to one of two solutions. Either the setup is planned with a margin, meaning larger boxes and extra coolpacks "just to be safe", which costs weight, space and money on every shipment. Or it is calculated tightly, and complaints later show where the limit was.

What happens in our hall

Our hall houses a test machine that we run our customers’ products through before the first real delivery goes out.

The result is a recommendation for packaging size and cooling elements that is based on the test rather than on an estimate.

Why the extra step pays off

A test adds one step at the start. In return, it answers most open questions before a single shipment reaches an end customer. Ahead of seasonal peaks such as Christmas, or when launching a new product, it is a particularly good moment.

What stays the same afterwards: our insulated packaging is made from more than 97% recycled paper and is fully recyclable in the standard paper bin without separation.
